When I set this blog down in 2022, I never imagined it would take 4 years to pick it back up again.
So much has happened in that time. Breakup. Multiple moves across Central Appalachia. Graduating kids. Reconnection with a highschool sweetheart and widowhood just 2 years later. Opening my heart again after grief. Rebuilding my career and my life.
The details would take too long and, honestly, be redundant. We’ve all been through a lot, especially since the pandemic, right? What matters is that we come through stronger, smarter, and more determined than ever to thrive on our own terms.
When life hands you lemons, you don’t just make some tasty lemonade to sip languidly, while lounging in the shade. You zest them, candy them, juice them, make a meringue pie, and anything else you can think of to get the most out of them. Every experience, even the unpleasant ones, come with lessons that will make you better, if you let them.
Give that inner phoenix room to rise!
As time allows, I intend to adapt this blog to something that fits better now. Much of the format will stay the same. I’m still in Appalachian Ohio and into the things I’m into, after all. But there will be changes on the horizon too.
I’m already working on the next couple posts. This time, it won’t take 4 years to get to posting them 🙂
